The Fairfield University NetID Manager website is a single point of identity administration that allows students, faculty, and staff to claim and activate their NetIDs, reset passwords, and manage responses to security questions.
Am I eligible for a Fairfield University NetID?
To be considered for a NetID account, one of the following must be true:
- You must be a student in active standing;
- You must have an official, current, active Fairfield University appointment;
- You must be an officially retired faculty member having provided 15 years of continuous service at the University;
- You must be an officially recognized University research affiliate.

A Fairfield University ID number is issued to all eligible students, faculty, and staff as part of the normal enrollment or hiring process. Other eligible members of the University community may obtain an ID number from the StagCard office, pending proper authorization and approval.
How often will I be forced to change my password?

How do I change my password?
If you need to change your NetID password and you know your current password, you can do so by logging in to the Fairfield University NetID Manager website and following the appropriate links.
Why can't I change my password from my Windows or Macintosh computer anymore?
For increased security and simplicity, all password management is now done through the Fairfield University NetID Manager website. All password-changing capabilities have been disabled in other campus systems.

Yes, you can change your security questions and responses at any time by logging in to the Fairfield University NetID Manager website and following the appropriate links.
I've forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
To reset a forgotten password, go to the Fairfield University NetID Manager website, enter your NetID in the field marked User ID, and click on the Forgot Password? link. You will be asked to verify your identity in order to proceed.
I don't like my NetID Username; can I change it?
