Welcome to the Fairfield University Student Download page. This site is intended for the sole use of currently enrolled Fairfield University students. Unauthorized distribution of the software within is illegal and will constitute a breach of the Fairfield University Acceptable Use Policy and result in possible judicial action.
All full-time undergraduate students are able to download the Fairfield University approved antivirus software.
Remember to uninstall any previous versions of antivirus software from your computer before you download and install this new antivirus program! Failure to properly uninstall existing personal antivirus products will cause problems.
Note: Norton Internet Security has an antivirus component that must be uninstalled.
To remove any previous versions of personal anti virus software from a Windows computer go to Start | Control Panel | Programs. Find any antivirus programs such as Norton Internet Security, McAfee or TrendMicro. Highlight them and click uninstall. If you already have the University-supplied anti virus software (all returning students should) then you do not need to re-install this software.
Login to to the Software Download site. You will be asked to enter you NetID and your password.
Note: The antivirus application we provide has been updated. The new program, called Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is compatible with all flavors of Windows (XP, Vista, 7).
