Scholars at Risk Network Brown-bag Lunch & Discussion
Location: John Carroll Conference Room (CNS 200)
Date: 04/18/2008
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Clare Robinson, Program Officer for Scholars at Risk (SAR) will present an overview of SAR and discuss the process involved in hosting a scholar. Fairfield University has been a member of the Scholars at Risk Network for 3+ years. SAR is an international network of universities and colleges that seeks to promote academic freedom and defend the human rights of scholars and their communities. Through SAR, universities and colleges host scholars who are under attack because of their words, ideas, and place in society. Fairfield’s membership with SAR is driven by our mission as a Jesuit University. We hope that you will join us to learn more about this work and how you can become involved in efforts to identify and host scholars at Fairfield University.
