Celebrating American Studies Conference

The American Studies Program at Fairfield University is pleased to announce an on-campus conference celebrating American Studies. Students, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to share and celebrate American Studies scholarship within and across the disciplines at Fairfield University. Panels will be composed of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty.

From the Black Panthers and Nixon to Obama and the Tea Party: Interpretingthe "Post" of "Post-Civil Rights"
Keynote Speaker: Matthew Jacobson, President of the American Studies Association and the William Robertson Coe Professor of American Studies and History at Yale University (12:15 p.m.)

Reception (5-6:30 p.m.) with a performance by the Phantom Pluckers featuring American Studies graduate student Jamie Debicella and internationally renowned jazz bassist and faculty member, Brian Torff.
