Fairfield University to host Info Session for graduate programs on April 14
(Posted on April 06, 2010)
Fairfield University will host a public Graduate Information Session on Wednesday, April 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. on campus at The Kelley Center. Prospective students will be able to meet deans and faculty and learn details about graduate programs in the areas of American studies, business, communication, creative writing (MFA), engineering, mathematics and nursing, including the School of Nursing's new DNP program. Discussions will include the many features and benefits of Fairfield's master's programs, admission criteria and important information on the many ways to finance a graduate education.
Many people are returning to college for graduate degrees to bolster their professional credentials and increase opportunities for career advancement during today's turbulent economic times. Many others are returning to learn new skills as they switch careers into such fields as nursing. "Gaining personal as well as professional enrichment has always been a motivation for the students enrolling in our graduate programs," says Marianne Gumpper, Fairfield University's director of graduate and continuing studies admission. "Now, more than ever, people are recognizing the value of a graduate degree to help them achieve their personal and professional goals."
