Please join the JUHAN faculty & professional learning community (FPLC) for a workshop to learn more about the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) and how you can “JUHANize” your course for the fall semester. JUHAN was created in collaboration between Fairfield, Fordham, and Georgetown to increase the effectiveness of efforts by Jesuit universities to respond to humanitarian crises in the United States and throughout the world. JUHAN has developed programs focusing on traditional academic curricula as well as less formal learning through conferences, workshops, and service to the community. JUHAN also provides an opportunity for faculty and staff at Jesuit universities to collaborate on research programs and curriculum development. JUHAN has established a set of learning objectives that faculty members can incorporate into their courses. To date, over a dozen faculty members at Fairfield have taught courses in the JUHAN program and there are 10 JUHAN-designated and JUHAN-infused courses being offered this spring. Current JUHAN faculty will be on hand to share course objectives and syllabi. U 2 Can JUHAN! Lunch is provided.
