Conversation on Academic Integrity

Monday, November 15, 2010
12:15 PM - 1:45 PM
Library conference room #233

Last year, the library staff held several very popular events on the issue of academic integrity. We invite you to join us as we continue the conversation on this important topic. Our goal is to develop a better understanding of student attitudes, and of best practices that faculty and staff can embrace to help guide students towards academic honesty. We are happy to report Fairfield University has joined the Center of Academic Integrity. For our first meeting, we invite you to read the Center of Academic Integrity’s online document The Fundamental Values of Academic Integrity (link below). The CAE will provide dessert and coffee. This session will be followed by two meetings in spring 2011 where we will be discussing Rebecca Moore Howard's Standing in the Shadow of Giant. Copies of the text will be available to those who are interested in joining the conversation. The Center for Academic Excellence, the Library Staff, and the Office of Academic Engagement are partnering to facilitate this project. Additional funding is provided by the Humanities Institute.
