Learning Environments Project - Lunch Provided w/ Registration
Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Kelley Presentation Room
Over the last year, many faculty, staff and students have been involved in the selection and deployment of three technology projects that have been collectively labeled the “Learning Environments Projects.” These projects are a portal (a web site that will direct members of the campus community to resources that they need – in effect, a next generation of StagWeb), electronic portfolio (software that supports students, faculty and staff as they collect, reflect upon, organize and present their work – Fairfield has purchased a product called Digication to do this), and course management tools (technology, for example BlackBoard and Eidos/Axiom Mentor, that supports interactions between teachers and students). There is a great deal of excitement about these developments, but also many questions about the distinctions between and interrelationship of the projects. This workshop will answer these questions and provide an update on the progress of each project. Join us and enjoy lunch provided by the Executive Vice President and the CAE.
