Keeping it Interesting: Strategies for Renewing Research at Mid-Career
Thursday, October 11, 2007
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Library 233
As a mid-career faculty member, you have developed a teaching repertoire and done plenty of service; now you’re ready to re-engage with your research agenda. But it may be difficult to get going again. We have used a range of methods to invigorate our writing and research, and while we cannot claim to have solved the problem with finality, we each now have strategies that work for us. We still get stuck or stall, at times quite regularly and despairingly. But unlike the years where we each felt we’d lost momentum for good, we at least have methods to get our rhythm back now. Facilitators: Betsy Bowen & Roben Torosyan. Refreshments provided.
