Welcome to Women's Club Volleyball

The Fairfield Women's Club Volleyball team has been an integral component of the Department of Recreation for the past several years. Membership has ranged from 14 to 20 persons, with elected officers serving the club from January to December during the calendar year. The club competes in both the spring and fall semesters, entering tournaments across New England and as far south as the University of Delaware.

The team is a proud member of the Northeast Women's Volleyball Club League. Opposing clubs include universities such as Cornell, UConn, Boston University, and Northeastern. These tournaments provide an excellent opportunity for clubs to play competitive volleyball in a fun, safe, and organized environment.

Setting their sights on the 2010-11 NIRSA National Tournament, the team traveled to Harvard for a regional tournament match. The Stags won their bracket and went on to defeat Harvard in the championship match.

The Fairfield Department of Recreation will host 2 NWVCL regional tournament this fall on Sunday, November 13 and Saturday, December 3. Ten to fourteen clubs from the region will participate. These events are held in the Leslie C. Quick Jr. Recreational Complex on campus. All tournaments create an environment of great camaraderie and competition amongst the clubs.

All skill levels are encouraged to become a member of the women's club volleyball program.
