2014-2015 Season in review:
The Stags are coming off arguably one of their best seasons in program history under the Department of Recreation, qualifying for the ACHA National Tournament. Finishing the regular season with a 17-3 record, the club entered the Empire Conference Playoffs as the #1 seed.
Proving the regular season was not a fluke, the Stags defeated New York Martime College 5-2. Up next was a rematch with Richard Stockton College. In the conference title match, the Fairfield club needed an overtime goal from Bill Kamenides '16 to start the celebration with a 5-4 overtime win.
As the Empire Conference Tournament winner, the team qualified for the ACHA National Tournament held in Pelham, Alabama. This is the first time Fairfield had qualified for the ACHA Nationals since the 2008 season.
With plenty of solid hockey to play, the club headed off on the 16 hour bus ride to Pelham. Once there, with some of the top competition in the country, the Stags managed a 0-2-1 record.
The Stags finished the year with a final national ACHA D3 ranking of 12.
