Jazz Ensemble

The Fairfield University Jazz Company is an 8 to 10 member student group led by renowned jazz musician and director, Brian Torff. They perform a wide variety of jazz from traditional to modern jazz, blues, rock, and world music. Their concerts also include demonstrations in improvisation and some background about the history of jazz as taught by Torff, a professor of music at Fairfield University. Jazz is an American art form and is a valuable lesson in the importance of diversity in American culture.
