Founded in 1992 by artistic directors David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and Michael Gordon, Bang on a Can All-Stars have shattered the definition of what concert music is today, freely crossing the boundaries between classical, jazz, rock, world, and new music. At The Quick they'll perform their newest evening-length project - Field Recordings - with specially commissioned new music and projections by some of the world's most questioning musical thinkers - Tyondai Braxton, Mira Calix, Florent Ghys, Michael Gordon, David Lang, Christian Marclay, Todd Reynolds, Julia Wolfe, and Nick Zammuto.
"A fiercely aggressive group, combining the power and punch of a rock band with the precision and clarity of a chamber ensemble." - The New York Times
