Interest Areas for Support through Individual Membership and Corporate Sponsorship
Fairfield University offers its students and the regional community a wide variety of opportunities to enjoy the arts and enrich their lives through study, performance, appreciation, and thought. With ticket income covering only 45% of our costs, we need your investment more than ever.
We invite you to help support all of our world-class events, as well as exclusive outreach and arts-in-education programs in the greater community by becoming involved with Membership in Fairfield University's Arts and Minds Program.
Arts & Minds Season
The annual Arts & Minds season of events at Fairfield provides an outstanding array of cultural and intellectual events that include the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts season, the popular Open VISIONS Forum lecture series, professional and student performances, art exhibits, special lectures, and myriad other lifelong learning opportunities.
The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts for the Arts offers exceptional performing arts and entertainment programming annually, including classical, jazz, and world music concerts, dance, comedy, radio dramas, Young Audience Series, The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD, National Theatre of London Live in HD, and other special events.
The Open VISIONS Forum is a special series designed to "engage the mind." Its mission is to present a broad range of perspectives and interests of the University's students and faculty with the wide general interests of our regional audience. Through an ongoing series of lively and informative lectures, these "public conversations" present: eminent opinion-makers, artists, authors, civic and political commentators and learner contributors to the humanities and sciences.
Art Exhibits & Collections
The Thomas J. Walsh Art Gallery, located in the Quick Center features year-round exhibitions of noted artists from around the world along with a wide range of diverse lectures and educational programming.
The new Bellarmine Museum of Art, located in Bellarmine Hall, displays a rich and varied collection of paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts objects from the Italian Renaissance and Baroque periods. Also showcased is a range of non-Western art including pre-Columbian vessels, 19th-century South East Asian sculptures and African masks, as well as a variety of Celtic and Medieval objects. The museum serves not only as a wonderful resource for the general public but as a classroom/learning laboratory for regional middle and high school students, teachers, and art scholars.
