Star Wars fans of the world can unite with Charlie Ross coming to town! At 8 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012, the talented Canadian actor brings his hilarious one-man-show One Man Star Wars Trilogy to Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. An added bonus for ticket-holders is a post-show screening in HD of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," the 2008 animated feature film chronicling the further adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Tickets are $30 and $25.
Much of Canadian actor Charlie Ross' childhood was spent in a "galaxy far, far away," watching Star Wars videos over and over and over again. Come see the hilarious results in a performance in which he plays all the characters, sings the music, flies the ships, fights the battles, and condenses the plots into just sixty minutes. Charles "One Man" Ross began touring his theatrical one-man Star Wars trilogy show in 2002 and hasn't stopped since. The master-impressionist pilots his audience through 40 characters and 3 masterworks, all in 3600 seconds.
Charlie's One Man Star Wars Trilogy has skyrocketed in popularity, resulting in current world tours with shows performed at a variety of locations such as New York, London, and Dubai. One Man Star Wars has performed over 1,200 times in more than 180 cities across four continents.
Spin Magazine calls the show "Funnier than you could possibly imagine." Conan O'Brien agrees: "Immediately accessible ... it was great." And the New York Times suggests: "You had better start investing in a light saber."
