Volunteering
"Some people dream of worthy accomplishments while others stay awake and do them."
Fairfield is fortunate to have alumni who are wide awake to the importance of giving back to their alma mater. The Jesuit tradition of being men and women for others continues with your involvement! Whether it's being a mentor to a student, engaging other alumni in service in your community, or serving on the Alumni Association Board, your time and effort are valuable and appreciated. We welcome and encourage you to get involved.
Help us build a strong alumni community:
- Join the Online Community! It's the best way to stay updated about your fellow classmates, and tell them what you're doing.
- Help us identify alumni from local areas across the country who have leadership capabilities and who might be willing to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
- Consider volunteering in an alumni chapter in your area.
- Help us develop educational programming for alumni, including opportunities for current faculty to visit your alumni chapter.
Host social activities in your area, reaching out to other Fairfield alumni, keeping that "Fairfield" energy alive and well.
Be a mentor to current students
- Help current students and other alumni find employment through the Fairfield Alumni Network (FAN) on the Online Community, through visits to your place of business, or by hosting other networking events
- Sponsor internships for Fairfield students at your place of business
Recruit talented new students
- Share your Fairfield experience and knowledge with a prospective student. From college fairs to interviews, there are a number of ways to help. Check out Fairfield Volunteer Recruiters to find out more.

"Teddy Bears With Love"
- Since 1999, the Alumni Relations Office and Student Alumni Association have coordinated the Teddy Bears With Love campaign during the holidays for children in hospitals across the country. Wherever you live, you can participate!

Join your Reunion Committee!
One great way to reconnect with classmates and friends is to join your class's Reunion Committee. You'll have an opportunity to reach out to your classmates and help the University plan your class year's reunion, and have fun while setting the stage for a memorable Reunion Weekend. For more information, contact Reunion Giving Manager, Maria Bolis.
Parents' Committee
- Parents are engaged in a variety of activities at the University, including Admission interviews, fundraising and more. The Parents' Committee coordinates these activities and acts as a communication liaison for parents to the University's administration.
