Be a Career Mentor in the Job Shadow Program over winter break: January 7-11, 2013


Students need alumni help now more than ever. You can make a difference in the career decisions of a junior year students by participating in the Job Shadow Program.

What is the Job Shadow Program?

The Job Shadow Program is designed to give junior year students at Fairfield the unique opportunity to get an inside view of a particular profession or industry in their hometown during winter break. Alumni mentors who participate in this program help students to see firsthand how skills learned in the classroom relate to the workplace while also building a network of alumni contacts.

Job Shadow activities can include:

  • Overview of your company, industry, and job
  • Internship opportunities
  • Introduction to colleagues
  • Share your personal career path
  • Explore career options and goals

When: Alumni mentors offer their availability for one or more days during the week of January 7-11, 2013.

Where: Your place of work or a mutually agreed-upon meeting place.

Mentor Registration Deadline: September 30, 2012.
