Entrepreneurial activity is a critical component of our economy. Entrepreneurs identify market opportunities and build businesses to exploit these opportunities.
Intellectual property (IP) such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and other know-how promote a company's competitive advantage by protecting core technologies, brands, product offerings and the like. As such, the IP position of a company is an important factor in many business decisions, including valuation discussions with potential investors.
