A Message from Dean Lynn Babington, Ph.D., RN
Welcome to the School of Nursing where excellence, innovation and creativity are ideas we put into practice daily. The pace of change in health care demands highly skilled nurses. Our goal is to meet that demand by educating nurses at the baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels through our nationally recognized programs, faculty, facilities and clinical affiliations. Nursing education takes place in an exciting environment on campus that includes classroom and clinical laboratory learning experiences, and off campus in a variety of outstanding patient care settings in over 50 clinical sites.
We transform our students into nursing leaders who will change the face of health care. Nurses will be architects for change by providing critical leadership with greater emphasis on prevention and universal access to cost-effective, culturally appropriate, high quality care. Our graduates are using their knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the lives of patients throughout the world.
Students also have the opportunity to be part of the Mu Chi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society for nursing. The School of Nursing offers a tremendous opportunity for undergraduate and graduate nursing education in a unique academic and professional environment. We invite you to study nursing with us at Fairfield.
