JUHAN and the Philippines

A Day of Solidarity and Fundraising

Thank you Fairfield for your support for the Philippines!

Our day of solidarity and fundraising was very successful thanks to your support.  We raised $5,390 for the Disaster Response and Management (DReaM) Team at the Jesuit-founded Ateneo University in Manila

Typhoon Haiyan (also called Typhoon Yolanda) hit the Philippines on Nov. 8 and was possibly one of the most violent storms ever to reach landfall.

On November 22, 2013, Fairfield's Center for Faith and Public Life organized a major effort through the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) to help the 9.5 million Filipinos affected.
