Image: Student in dining hallMove In Day is Sunday, July 8 from 4-6 p.m. Please go to 70 McCormick Road, where all Summer Scholars will live for the duration of the program. It is #35 on the campus map. Upon arrival you will receive a StagCard ID, which you can use to gain access to your dorm room, the Rec Plex, and the library.

Classes: All classes have pre-course work that should be completed prior to your arrival on campus. Pre-course work can be completed on Blackboard or Mentor. To access Blackboard or Mentor you will need a Fairfield University NetID and password. To create your NetID please follow these directions. Your Student ID was sent to you by Aaron Perkus. If you do not have your student ID please contact The Office of Continuing Studies at (203) 254-4110 and make sure to reference the Summer Scholars program. Or visit our store in downtown Fairfield at 1499 Post Road, Fairfield, Conn. 06824.

Activities: Check out the updated list of Schedule of Events and Activities. The Academic co-curricular activities are required for all Summer Scholars residents while many of the Residence Life events are optional. You will be able to sign up for the activities that you wish to participate in. Please note that open times have been scheduled so that you have plenty of time to study and prepare for your class.

Your academic advisor is Dawn DeBiase, Assistant Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
Dawn DeBiase received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in 1991. She earned a Masters in Clinical Social Work at Boston College in 1996, and she was a practicing social worker in the Boston area for several years prior to her arrival at Fairfield University in 2004 as Assistant Dean of Freshmen. In 2008, she joined the College of Arts and Sciences as Assistant Dean. Additionally, she is an adjunct faculty member in Fairfield University's graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is an avid Patriots fan, and she looks forward to supporting her team on the road to winning their 4th Superbowl in February, 2013!

Your Residence Life contact is Charles Sousa, Associate Director of Residence Life
Charles Sousa received his B.S. in Accounting from Sacred Heart University and Masters of Education from Loyola University of Maryland and has been a member of Fairfield's Office of Residence Life since 2006. He has extensive experience in mentoring students in Fairfield University's Ignatian Residential College. Outside of the academic setting, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing and officiating ice hockey.
