Current Research Interests
Professor Gibson's research examines the attributes and impact of organizational role models and mentors, the management of emotions in organizations, anger in the workplace, and effective organizational communication. He has academic articles published in Organization Science, Journal of Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Conflict Management, and Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and a book for practicing managers, Managing Anger in the Workplace. Dr. Gibson's work on anger in the workplace has received national media attention.
