Dr. Gannett's recent research and professional interests include:
- Graduate student administration in Writing Center/ WAC Programs
- The development of WAC/WID/Writing Program Archives
- Nineteenth-century women’s literacy practices and pedagogies
- The uses of action-research for writing program development
- International composition studies
- Jesuit rhetoric
She is currently co-editing a collection with Dr. Tom Pace (John Carroll University) on Jesuit rhetoric and rhetorical pedagogy, with the provisional title of Jesuit Rhetorical Traditions: Looking Backward, Looking Forward.
