Current Research Interests
My ethnographic research has focused on the Amazigh people of the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco. I think of myself as an economic anthropologist with a special interest in the dynamics of social inequality, particularly the ways in which it is manifest over time. I have also written on anthropological fieldwork and autism, and I have a current project on the economics of drug dealing in suburbia.
