Edrik López was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Fairfield University in Connecticut. He received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2009. He teaches course on American Poetry, Literary Theory, Ethnic Literature, and Cultural Studies. His most recent articles include, "Sycorax and Son," and "The Trope of the Nostalgic Jíbaro in U.S. Puerto Rican Literature."
