Pete Duval is the fiction editor of Dogwood: A Journal of Poetry and Prose, the technical editor of the online women's poetry journal Mezzo Cammin and a faculty member of Fairfield University's low-residency M.F.A. program. His story collection Rear View (Houghton Mifflin, 2004) won the Connecticut Book Award for Fiction, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Bakeless Prize for Fiction, and was one of five finalists for the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction. Twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, his short stories have appeared in a number of national and international journals, including Ascent, Alaska Quarterly Review, Barcelona Review, Chelsea, Exquisite Corpse, Northwest Review, Sonora Review, The Southeast Review, and West Branch. He holds an M.A. (M.F.A.-equivalent, terminal degree) from Boston University's Creative Writing Program, an M.A. in cinema studies from New York University, and an A.M. in English from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Currently he is vice president of Fairfield University's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
