Current Research Interests
Through the process of observation, I draw closer to nature and seeing. My current work is based on landscapes both real and imagined. In oil, watercolor, as well as ink and ink washes, I work directly on site, from memory, and sketches. Drawing and painting inform my process of exploration. Developing a deep connection to my subject through an understanding and exploration of my materials is fundamental to my artistic process.
