Current Research Interests
I am currently working on two book projects: the first, a work of constructive theology, to be published by New York University Press, focusing on Judaism, liberalism, feminism and God, and the second, an in-depth study of Paula Ackerman, Spiritual Leader of Reform congregation Beth Israel in Meridian, Mississippi from 1951-53 (and as such, the first woman to occupy the pulpit in a mainstream, American Jewish congregation).
