Current Research Interests

My current research interests include the:

  • Impact of setting on provider-patient and health organization communication
  • Conversion to electronic medical records and the diverse organizational changes in communication, roles, and norms it necessitates
  • Expansion of simulations in healthcare pedagogy and the resulting students' and faculties' perceptions of clinical and communication outcomes
  • Affect of pharmaceutical advertising and marketing on prescribing and provider-patient treatment decision-making
