Current Research Interests
Dr O'Shea's research has a dual focus. One area of research is the improvement of the quality of care for children who have life-limiting conditions and advancement of pediatric palliative/end-of-life care education. Another research area has been to enhance nursing education with an emphasis on experiential learning and the use of technology (i.e. simulations). She is currently the Principal Investigator for both the Nursing Curriculum Integration: Pediatric/Adolescent Cancer Palliative Care Project and for the Pediatric Palliative Care: Assessing Comfort in Children project.
