Shanon Reckinger joined the department of Mechanical Engineering at Fairfield University in Fall 2011. She received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder in August of 2011. Her thesis was titled, “Adaptive Wavelet-Based Ocean Circulation Modeling” and was on the development of advanced numerical methods for ocean modeling.
