Living & Learning at Fairfield
At Fairfield University, we are committed to the education of the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. In fact, Fairfield has become a leader in developing an educational environment that integrates living and learning.
For centuries, a Jesuit education has recognized the value of social, personal, and spiritual exploration as integral to a wholesome and well-lived life. So what you learn in the classroom might be put into service in your role as a student mentor, or as a leader on campus, or on one of our many service-learning trips around the world.
From Cornerstone courses for all first year students where courses are connected to living assignments, sophomore residential colleges where studies are integrated with community living and programs of personal and spiritual reflection, and junior and senior leadership and discernment opportunities, Fairfield students can engage in living and learning throughout their time here.
Hands-on learning experiences in the community, opportunities for study abroad, club, intramural and varsity athletics, avenues for spiritual and personal growth will help to lay the foundation for success in life.
