Vice President Marketing and Communications Rama Sudhakar


Rama Sudhakar is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Fairfield University.

Image: Rama SudhakarPrior to coming to Fairfield in 2007, Sudhakar was the Director of Communications at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. She came to Trinity after serving as a marketing manager for the Hartford Courant from 1997 to 2001, during which time she helped launch the ctnow.com website. Previously, she owned and operated a full-service advertising agency, developing and implementing marketing strategies for international clients. In 1992, the agency was awarded Best of Show Award and Best Corporate Image Brochure given by the Association for Manufacturing Technology.

Before moving to the U.S., Sudhakar served as a program coordinator for the Goethe Institute, Calcutta, India, and as a teacher of English and history for grades six through eight at St. Theresa's School, Calcutta, India.

Sudhakar received her B.A. in English from the University of Bombay and a B.Ed. from the University of Calcutta. She has an M.A. in Business Management (Marketing) from Central Michigan University.

Division of Marketing and Communications

It is the role of the Marketing and Communications Division to enhance the reputation of the University and support the institution's mission and strategic plan. The departments and offices of the division serve to support students and faculty in their essential work, and to communicate the distinctive nature and value of the Fairfield experience through an integrated marketing communications approach.
