Nancy Altobello joined EY when she graduated with an accounting degree from Fairfield in 1980 and spent the next 38 years serving both institutions with her leadership abilities and passion for nurturing talent. At EY, she held several senior-level positions, including global vice chair of talent, where she led the company’s global talent and human resource function, covering more than 250,000 people in over 150 countries. During Altobello’s tenure leading talent, EY was recognized as the preferred professional service firm for college graduates, a best multinational employer, was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Diversity Inc. and won multiple awards for learning and development programs.

Altobello has generously shared her gift for mentoring and talent development with Fairfield, returning to campus to recruit accounting students, moderate the Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum, and serve on the Trustees Advisory Council and the Board of Trustees. She chaired the Finance and Audit Committee and currently chairs the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee.

Since she retired from EY, Altobello has served on other boards in various industries, including MarketAxess, Amphenol, WEX, Ports America, HRAcuity, and Fidelity Charitable. She is a special advisor to the Oaktree Transportation and Infrastructure Group, Brighton Park Capital, and Censia and is past board chair and current board member of MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, an organization that supports youth mentoring.
